Monday I had lunch with representatives of the Arts and Sciences Student Advisory Board. I always enjoy these lunches as I get a chance to interact with students in the college. We had a great conversation about summer plans, the new general education curriculum, and how life differed when I was in college (hint: I typed my papers on a manual typewiter and used a slide rule to do calculations, not to mention no Facebook).
Most days I have lunch in the Union. I welcome students, faculty and staff to join me if you see me there. I want to know your thoughts and welcome the opportunity to get to know you.

The advisory board had such an enjoyble time at the Dean's lunch this spring. It was great to interact and have lively discussion regarding summer topics such as music festivals, as well as more serious academic plans. Thanks for taking the time to eat lunch with us. It was a great 21st birthday!
